Benefits Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World, Good Sam What is your favorite thing about your job and why?: I love the opportunity to help our associates understand their benefits and be able to make the right decisions around their benefits on a daily basis. Knowing that benefits can be confusing, and hearing when someone understands them truly provides a sense of satisfaction. In addition, I get to work with all areas throughout the organization and improve the associate experience. Finally, I get to manage an amazing team of experts in their field and have had the opportunity to see each of them grow and share their expertise with others. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry?: I love the outdoors and traveling, so being able to work in an industry that is 100% about that is something I am passionate about. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at?: Camping World has helped me succeed as a woman by having wonderful female role models to look up to and guide me, including my own manager. Camping World has provided me with opportunities to express my creativity and has allowed me to gain additional educational opportunities, such as working toward achieving my Certified Employee Benefits Certification (CEBS), which I am currently in the process of doing. My voice is heard, and my expertise is used daily to make decisions that impact the organization.

Camping World recognized my abilities early on and elevated my role from a Benefits Specialist to a Sr. Benefits Specialist to my current role as Benefits Manager, Plan Management and Participant Experience. Finally, Camping World is the first organization where every associate has treated each other with respect and dignity.
What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand?: If you are looking for an organization that allows you to be your genuine self, supports you each step of the way, and allows you to pave your own path to success, this is the place for you. What other teams do you work with the most? Outside of Marketing Technology, I often work with the Good Sam team, along with the RV Sales team. What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World, Good Sam What is your favorite thing about your job and why? All of my teammates for sure. I'm very fortunate to be working with incredibly talented and fun individuals. They provide such a fun and productive atmosphere in the office. Additionally, I enjoy that I'm always learning and building my knowledge and skills. What is the most rewarding project you have work on here and why? A rewarding project that comes to mind is one that involves mimicking our email marketing efforts from Camping World and replicating it to our Gander RV & Outdoors brand. This project was pretty meaningful because it involved a lot of people contributing to one goal and in general I learned a ton from it. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? Toys for Tots is a charity that is most important to me. It's a charity that I've known about since I was a kid and my parents taught me the value of giving to others. Toys for Tots is a program which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. It's been around for a long time and continues to fulfill their mission in providing joy to less-fortunate children. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Some advice I give to all that are applying to a job at Camping World is be yourself, highlight your strengths, and never stop wanting to learn. SVP of Field Operations

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? Today, I work with our Field Operations Team that includes our dealership and retail organization, and recently I have started supporting our Call Center Operations Team. If it's related to the customer experience I want to learn as much as I can about how we can continue to improve and exceed our customers expectations. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? That's easy! Our customers and my amazing teammates!

Knowing that our customers have a choice when they're ready to purchase an RV, have service work done at one of our service centers, or buy different accessories from our retail business, I want Camping World to be their first choice every time! In order to earn their business and their trust, we have to hold ourselves to the highest standard and provide them with the best experience. Today, I have the privilege of overseeing the development and implementation of processes to improve customer cultivation, customer retention and retail sales for the enterprise.
What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? Before joining Camping World I stayed at home to raise my two sons Blake and Brandon after a previous career in banking. When my youngest was ready to enter kindergarten, I knew I wanted to do something challenging and fun outside of the home. Growing up my dad worked in car dealerships so I knew the ins and outs of the business. When I walked through the doors of Camping World, it was an easy transition and I quickly fell in love with our customers and the RV lifestyle. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I've been mentored by many extraordinary male and female leaders over the years. I'm so proud that I work for an organization that rewards good work regardless of your gender. Marcus and the rest of the leadership team embraces the fact that when there are women in the room helping make decisions we're all better for it, and that's been the most rewarding experience for me. As the leader in the RV industry, we have a responsibility to provide equal opportunity for every team member. It's part of our core values as an organization and I'm so grateful to be a part of it. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? Come join us! I've been told countless times that the magic happens when we step outside of our comfort zone and it's so true. Whether you're just entering the work force, returning after time away, or you're looking for a new opportunity, we would love to share more about who we are and why we might be a great fit for you. If you've already made the leap, we're so glad you're here! Make it a point every day to learn something new and show up with the intent to have a meaningful impact on our customers and co-workers. We're all better together!

If you're ready to take on a new challenge in a company that's just getting started, we would love to chat with you!

Transportation and Inventory Control Data Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? Dealership Accountant's and Controllers, Inventory Analysts, Transport and Logistics group, Real Estate and Development What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Knowing each day that my processes are being done for reasons that keep the company marching forward. Inventory and Transportation Data Integrity is so important and it's a thrill to solve and resolve issues that, down the road, could cause headaches for others. It's wonderful being able to find and correct mistakes before they become problems, especially possible bank audit issues and outside auditor issues as well as possible mismanagement of units being transported by contracted carriers. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? At the time, this job sounded promising in my field and this industry was making great strides and going strong. I love to camp, so that made it even more appealing and (wishful thinking) less stressful than my current job in the medical device production world. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? Camping World makes me want to be a better role model to my peers. Passion and work ethic is inherent but kudos to Camping World for being that company that makes me want to be a part of the experience and great reputation that CW has created. Other companies I have worked for have rewarded people and recognized personal contributions, but I would have to say that it's really about your management team. I have worked for a couple of companies in the past where management didn't care about any of their people no matter how hard you worked and that is never a good environment to be in. Camping World has a healthy work environment!! What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? Go for it!!! CW recognizes and rewards those who are hard-working, determined, and passionate about a job well done!!

Product Expert

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? Being in this position I am blessed to be able to work with just about every team in our organization. I work closest with RV sales and Retail but get to do some awesome projects for Good Sam, Overton's, and service. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? It is absolutely the people, without a doubt. I get to do some of the coolest stuff on the planet - tell people about vehicles designed to make their vacation dreams come true, so that's a bonus. The fact that I get to work with some of the most professional and creative people on the planet has made me better in every aspect of my career. Everyone is willing to listen and help, the communication and thoughtfulness in this organization are unlike any I have worked in. What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? Oh wow, it's hard to pick just one. They are all so rewarding. I would have to say that the first Ultimate RV Show that we did back in 2020 would have to be the tops. Not only did it set a new standard for how our products are marketed across the industry, it really set us apart as the premier organization for what we do. Our team has such a positive outlook that they took a situation like the COVID shut down and turned it into an opportunity for people to still get out and enjoy recreational time in the safety and comfort of their own home aka RV. Add that to the fact that all teams pitched in and made it a wildly successful event and it's just the icing on the cake of something that I will always remember. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? I'm a Rotarian and I've worked a lot with the VA and Make a Wish. I'm a fan of any charity or cause that helps our vets and kids. I was able to take part in an event called Pigstock where we got together with some great people in town and did a big "grill and smoke off". 24 hours of cooking some amazing food, then selling it with all of the profits going to charity. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Be yourself and be open all the time. Express your thoughts and communicate. This is such an amazing organization with so many movement opportunities. Your team will help you if you communicate. Whatever position you are in, do your best and blaze a trail - you never know who is noticing you, and TRUST me, people are noticing you.

Sr. Vice President - RV Inventory Operations

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? The RV Inventory Team works very closely with Field Operations to ensure proper flow of product into locations, communicate pricing & initiatives, and to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding the product mix/offering of the individual location. We also work very closely with Digital Marketing to make sure any new products or floorplans are getting reviewed/promoted according to the largest vision of the company. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Throughout my career, I've always been allowed to wear many hats and encouraged to find creative new ways to make existing processes/programs better, or even to replace them altogether, if necessary. We get to be both inward-facing, working with our internal teams here at Camping World, and outward-facing, working with manufacturers, shipping companies, and even the occasional customer. What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? Over the years, there are a number of projects that I'm proud to have worked on with a great team of people, from the first creation of our company-wide pricing model to the Used Valuation Team, and most recently, the building/planning of our private label pontoon boat, the Nepallo! What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? I have a soft spot for kids in need, whether they are hungry (Feed My Starving Children) or if they found themselves sick (Make-a-Wish or Care Camps). Colleen Perry

Market Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? Every department is crucial to the overall success of the store. I see all of us working as one cohesive team. None more important to the other. We need each other to be successful.I love spending time in the sales tower and find as much happiness in the service department at the operations desk. Detail and accounting are equally important to me. I think that it is critical for all departments to know how important they are to the success of the whole team. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I love my job. Everyday I get a new opportunity to work in a place that I love. We have our challenges, of course. I think that turning the unhappy customers or bad situations into a win are key to growing as a company and a store. I am also allowed to run my location and put my own personal touch on it. The people are really the best part. I get to really influence and participate with all of the employees in this location. I read an article about different styles of leadership. There were a few but the one that struck me was lead with love. That doesn't mean that we have dinner and spend time with each other but you love and care about the whole person. You understand that they are here doing their job to provide for the life they have outside of the building. I feel that leading in this way has allowed me to earn the trust and respect of my team. It also allows me to lead them because they know I have their best interest at heart. This also translates into working with our customers. I feel the same way about them. Without customers where are we? I think it's crucial to own your mistakes and take the time to work in the customers best interest. This is a fun business. We sell hopes and dreams, memories that will last forever. The opportunity to interact with the customers is very special. They are about to embark on an adventure that some of them have spent their whole life planning. I think it's important to be a good steward of making their dream come true. We started something recently here that i really enjoy. We made some t shirts in kid sizes that say "Cool Kids Camp" Inviting the kids into that special delivery day and giving them something to take away with them is fun. I remind them to wear their special camping shirt when they camp and parents tag us on social media. It's not always easy in a day to day aspect but it is worth it at the end of the day. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I honestly didn't know much about the outdoor recreation industry when I started with the company. I knew that the people that I had met in the recruiting process were smart and genuine. That was all I needed to see to decide to join the company. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? Camping World is a great company for women to work for. They don't see gender as an obstacle or roadblock to your success. You are judged on your merit and talent rather than your gender. I can truthfully say that had I not taken this opportunity with Camping World I would never have been given the opportunity or support and mentor-ship at any other employer. They allow you to have access to many parts of the enterprise, not just your individual location.

I remember when I had only been with the company a short time and my regional finance manager called me. He said he wasn't really calling for anything important, just to say that he appreciates me. I will never forget the way that made me feel. I had never in my career had someone say that they appreciate me. I will carry that feeling forward and spread that message for the rest of my career.
What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? I would say to run don't walk to our Camping World careers site. We offer so many opportunities in this company, too many to list here. The true spirit of being appreciated for who you are is evident from the top of the company. That appreciation bleeds down into every other level. Take a chance on yourself and see where this company can take you.

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I work closely with the National Service Teams, the Chicago call center team, and dealer management. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I love the fact that the way I do my job can impact our business and, more importantly, impact those that I work with and the customer experience. I am in my 15th year in our company and have had opportunities to grow myself and others. It is exciting to be part of a team that has so many talented, hardworking individuals who could be working anywhere but choose to be here with us. What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? I think one thing I really reflect on is the role I have had in opening new stores over the years with my co-workers (Regional Service Directors). It was hard work but rewarding to get those new locations up and running to be part of our success and growth as a company. Working closely with those directors gave me so many chances to learn to be a better manager. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? My wife and I regularly reach out to individuals we become aware of that need some help locally. We also generously share our time to benefit others in our community. It is a unique industry and as such the opportunity for growth and rewards are terrific. The leadership at Camping World cares about its employees and about their future. There is no limit to the possibilities that can open up to them here. There are numerous success stories in our company of those who worked hard and earned a chance to elevate within the company.

What is your favorite thing about your job and why?My favorite thing is our people! I love working alongside amazing team members and engaging with our customers. I get up each morning excited because I have the opportunity to work with some amazing people! I've been fortunate to learn and grow so much over the years, and I enjoy continuing to learn as well as passing along what I've learned to others. This company is like a family, we share in the wins and we lean on each other during tough times. I've enjoyed seeing people I work with grow from hourly associates to General Managers and even Market Managers in their professional careers. I've also enjoyed seeing them get married, have children, build new homes, and the list goes on and on. My favorite part is definitely the people! What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? There are so many but most recently it would be the flood relief efforts we were part of across the state of Kentucky. I was able to be on the ground and see the impact our company's efforts had as we unloaded truckloads of supplies for people who had lost everything. We laughed, we cried, and it was a blessing to be part of helping so many people during a time of need. The team effort displayed by everyone from our CEO to the team members in the DC loading these trucks was something I'll never forget. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why?I have supported many different charities over the years. I've been part of supporting Camp Rainbow, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses, for several years. I'm also currently working with Recovery Refuge, an organization focused on helping those struggling with addiction. These are both near and dear to my heart due to seeing firsthand the difference these organizations make in a person's life. What advice would you give to someone applying for a job at Camping World? My advice would be don't be scared to jump in and try something new! I didn't have any experience in the RV industry when I started. There are so many transferrable skills from other industries that fit with our company. If you're not afraid to work hard and you're open to learning, then you can have a great career here. I've witnessed carpenters come on board as service technicians and become wildly successful. I've seen cashiers join our team and become product specialists making an income they've only dreamed of! Our company is growing and that's a rare place to be right now, so jump in and I think you'll be surprised where you can be in a short period of time!If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?If I could have an unlimited supply of one thing it would have to be ice cream!! I LOVE ice cream and if it has chocolate mixed in that's even better!!!

Dulce "Candy" Weathers

Business Development Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World, Good Sam What first attracted you to this company? The idea of making families’ dreams come true. I felt like the company sells more than just RVs.  We help families make memories and spend time together in the outdoors with one another in the most affordable way. What do you find fulfilling about working here? Where can I start? I wake up every morning so excited to come in and spend the day with my amazing co-workers. I am able not only to enjoy every minute of what I do, but I get to train, motivate, and share the experience of helping families create priceless memories with their loved ones.

The greatest fulfillment, however, is being able to utilize my education and incorporate it into my job. I feel God has opened so many doors, and, by far, I feel this is my calling. Before starting school I had no idea I would be using my skills right away. That’s an opportunity only some get to experience.

For many, the highest form of value is money. And while money is important to me, it's not the highest form of value: If I was given a million dollars today but had to die tomorrow, what would I say? Time is more valuable than money. If I made a million dollars a day but I had to be sick for the rest of my life, what would I say? Health is more than money. If I was given one million dollars a day but a loved one had to die, what would I say? Relationships are more than money. For me, finances are not the highest form of compensation, fulfillment is. If you can get fulfilled on the inside, it becomes easy to get money on the outside because you are chasing a greater purpose.

Here at Camping World, I have found my purpose, I have found my calling, and I am excited to pass this on to every person I come across. With effort, hard work, and dedication, I get to provide my family with a comfortable life, get great medical insurance, a retirement plan, and all while doing all the things I love.

What are some of your biggest motivators at work? The excitement of the families that I am able to assist, the support I get from my peers and management team, and knowing I am able to help and uplift everyone around me to be as excited as I am to be at work. From the service and detail staff, all the way to our corporate sectors, I feel I make a difference by giving it my all every single day. I feel acknowledged, appreciated, and supported. What makes Camping World & Good Sam unique or different from others’ you have worked for? Camping World and Good Sam are an amazing pairing. It separates us from other RV dealerships as far as being a one-stop shop for all of your RV and Camping needs. Good Sam is exclusive to Camping World, giving us competitive advantages in terms of assisting our customers with the best prices on insurance and protection rates available. What compels you to stay? Coming in to work every day feels like home. Seeing families walk out crying with joy, cheering from excitement, and then sharing their journey with me is the greatest feeling. The ability to grow within the company is endless. Sky's the limit! Marcus Lemonis is unbelievably caring and active in this company nationwide. Knowing we have a CEO that actually cares is the greatest piece of mind and I feel confident that so long as I keep giving it my all I am well taken care of and in turn, I can take care of my loved ones at home well as well. What is a fun fact about yourself? I am a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo. As a kid, I was always very sporty and did kickboxing for a bit. At the age of 30, I started as a white belt with my son, and just two years ago (age 35), with lots of hard work and determination not to give up, I earned my black belt. I feel that I've learned so much from this experience and gained the discipline, courage, and confidence needed to accomplish any goal I set for myself.

Social Media Creative Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Good Sam What other teams do you work with the most? I work very closely with the Engagement and Influencer Management within my current social media team. Outside of social, I work closely with the Design team in order to maintain visual brand consistency across all platforms. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? When I first started working on the Good Sam brand, I was amazed at the amount of creative freedom I was given by my team. It's something I had always desired in previous positions at other companies but felt like I was being held back a bit. It's so relieving to have trust, open communication, and collaboration within my current team and makes me that more excited to get to work at Camping World every day with authentic and invested individuals! What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I lived in Denver for 2.5 years before moving to Chicago. I absolutely loved my time there, but realized I had taken advantage of the incredible geographic location once I moved back to the MidWest and no longer had mountains at my doorstep. In my personal opinion, moments shared outdoors soothe the soul and that's a feeling I'll continue to long for, and wish to help others experience, through this brand! How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? Right off the bat, Camping World proved to have exceptional diversity working within the brands. My previous company was primarily dominated by men, and as a woman in that workplace, I, unfortunately, felt like I didn't have much of a say. Now I get to work with both men and women who build me up, and although all are successful, the women around me, in particular, are incredibly driven and inspiring. It's an amazing feeling to see multiple women who have previously succeeded and continue to succeed within this company because they paved the way for other women like me to do the same. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? Got for it! Hopefully, these pages will prove to you that regardless of your gender, anyone and everyone can succeed here if you put your mind to it and are invested. There are thousands of women at Camping World who are living proof of that!

Content Marketing, Paid Media Marketing, Website Development, Inventory, Corporate Sponsorships, Customer Experience, Customer Loyalty What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Inventory Analyst

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? With my position at Camping World, I get to work with a variety of different teams within the company and outside the company. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? My favorite thing about my job is that I am constantly learning something new and doing something different. I also get to work with a great group of people. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I was interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry because this industry has been apart of my life since I was very young. My dad has worked for Camping World for over 25 years and he has always taken us camping or to the lake, my whole life. It was almost a no brainer when apply for my position after getting out of college. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? Product Expert

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I mainly work with several different teams on a daily basis. I'm constantly touching base with the written content team so that we can align our efforts to be as impactful and efficient as possible with our delivery of content. This allows us to not only optimize SEO but also have great digital content with both written and video elements. I also work hand-in-hand with the motion design team to make sure our visions mesh from the start to the end of many projects. During large shows or events, I work with the social media team to create short-form social teaser videos for multiple platforms. Occasionally, I work with the retail team to create content that benefits the great retail product selection we offer at our locations nationwide. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? The people I work with. I know this seems like such a small thing in the grand scheme of a career, and don't get me wrong, there are a TON of things I love about my job, like the amazing growth we've had and opportunities that come with it and how I get to do something new every day. But if I had to narrow it down to one specific thing, it's the culture of our team and the amazing people I truly consider friends that I get to work with. Not only are the people on my team incredible, but I also get SOOO excited to see people from some of the other digital marketing teams that I haven't seen in a few months or maybe even a year. And my favorite part is that I'm not alone. So many of us feel this way and it warms my heart. It's how I know I'm working at a great organization with truly amazing and talented people. What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? I would have to say the original Ultimate RV Show. This show had some of the most challenging and fun days I've ever experienced in any career. We were able to overcome an incredible amount of obstacles and create something that had never been done in this industry before. We didn't know it at the time, but that week changed not only how we would conduct future business at Camping World, but showed the industry what COULD be done with the right talent in place. It set an industry standard for what a virtual RV show could be, and all the while, brought each and every one of us in attendance that much closer to each other as we all bonded through adversity and success together. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? The activity that is most important to me is spending time with my family. One of the great aspects of working for Camping World is the generous PTO time we're given. It allows me to not only spend the Holidays with my family but also allows me to be there for my kids. I get to see my son's football games and my younger daughter's gymnastics practices and swim lessons. Many companies preach about having a good work/life balance, but few offer the programs to match. Camping World truly puts their employees first. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Camping World is an incredible place to work, where employees are put first and our CEO is a reality TV star. We have an outstanding culture with hard-working, dedicated, and caring employees. However, if I were to give one piece of advice, it would simply be this... be the authentic you. Trust, friendship, and giving are at the core of our nature. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, and if those are the people you want to be surrounded by, then I strongly encourage you to apply and during the interview process, just relax...and be you.

Assistant National Parts Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I interact with all levels of employees at dealerships, retail locations, service centers, and sales teams. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I love my job. I seriously love my job. The thing I love the most is how much I can help other people. Watching people that come from other backgrounds grow in the RV industry, showing them how to use skills they have learned along the way, and helping them utilize those skills in the RV industry. I love watching team members grasp new concepts, become more proficient, and then help others along the way. I love parts in all aspects. I love the challenge that comes with RV parts. Everything you have around you is put into an RV, think about it. Car, truck parts, household appliances, new technologies (like solar), water systems, the list goes on and on. Being able to decode where parts came from, track down manufacturers, and help the company as a whole in various parts projects is exhilarating. I am new to the job at hand with national parts, but I truly feel like this is my calling. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I grew up in the industry. My father was a service manager and retired from Camping World. I have been around RVs and RV parts my entire life. I am a very hands-on person. I enjoy the outdoor lifestyle - hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, working on cars, woodworking, home repair, creating art, and painting. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I could not agree more that Camping World Holdings has helped me succeed in my career. They did not base my job description on anything other than determination and talent. I took a break from Camping World to finish my degree and briefly worked in other industries only to gladly return to Camping World. With Camping World people hear me. I help and contribute in a positive way. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? I would ask them to be honest and think about what really makes them happy. What could they do as a profession every day and be happy doing it? We have every career choice you could possibly explore from marketing, merchandising, logistics, parts, sales, service, retail, detail, and accounting. I would tell them to plan out what career path they want and go for it. I started at ground level answering phones and licking stamps; yes, we licked stamps back then. I moved up quickly because of my eagerness to learn and fascination with parts. Holding roles in management on the service team and the retail team, I promoted individuals with ambition and good hearts. I understand that not everyone wants to climb the corporate ladder, but Camping World as a whole finds a good fit for the people that work hard. I see National Managers, Regional, and Local Management recognizing talent. Camping World takes the time to understand strengths to help people excel in their careers.

Director of Marine Operations

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What attracted you to this job? My background has been in the marine industry for 14 years, and I was looking to get an opportunity to learn more than one industry. Then Camping World reached out. While, yes, I’m still doing marine, I’m also learning a lot about a large dealer network retailer and learning a lot about RVs. What do you find fulfilling about working here? I find enjoyment in the fact that I do work with a multitude of people with different backgrounds and locations. Each of our stores is unique yet the same, so it’s a great opportunity to learn about the dealership and retail side and their strategies. I also get a lot of fulfillment in doing something new and bringing marine to market through the Camping World locations. Taking a very well-known and strong leader in the RV industry and bridging over to marine, I find it to be a great opportunity to be a disrupter to a very traditional marketplace. What are some of your biggest motivators at work? I definitely have a lot of intrinsic motivation because we’re bringing a boat to market that is a high-quality product at a lower cost than other options out there. And again, that comes down to our product strategy that I initiated and worked on for many years before we could bring it into the market like we have.

I’m also a firm believer in the outdoor lifestyle. I want to promote it and want more families to get the opportunity to get outdoors. I love boating and love the fact that your iPad doesn’t work out there and you don't have good cell service. I think it’s a great opportunity for more families to get out there and enjoy that time together.
What makes Camping World unique or different than others you’ve worked for?I appreciate the experience and structure of Camping World. We’re a large company, but I always feel like I can just reach out to another person for help. Everyone is very approachable and easy to work with. I don’t ever worry that I'm not going to have the help or support I need to get the work done, help our customers, and help each other. What compels you to stay?Well, my work is not done yet. I have to get these boats out all over the place, thousands of them. What's your Myers-Briggs personality type?Commander & Architect

Interestingly, I can be both an ENTJ (commander personality) and an INTJ (architect personality)—I test right on the verge of either of the two most uncommon personality types. The “E” for extroversion and “I” for Introversion are the characteristics changing for me depending on the situation I’m in or the role I have at work.

Dealership General Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I believe I work the same with every department. Every single member of my Team is my Family. I feel comfortable walking into any department and working it or just being there for support when necessary. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I must say that it would be difficult to have only once choice however I think the absolute best part of my job is knowing that I am responsible for providing safety, care and financial support for over 50 families. There is not much better of a feeling than that. Several times a month we do family style cookouts to just gather together because we are as close as a family gets. I am so Proud to be the leader of this Team. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I began in this industry on accident nearly 20 years ago. I walked in for an interview just after maternity leave under the advice of a local head hunter. I forgot to write down the name of the company or the name of the person I was there to meet. I truly walked in the door looking for a finance position that I had no interest in having come from the car business. I accepted the position within 30 minutes at which time paved the way for the rest of my life. I have never turned back after I first walked in that door. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I have worked really hard in this business and all alike to be taken seriously as a woman in the work place. My very first Finance job as a young woman was one of the most difficult I had ever done due to being a woman. Both companies that I worked at previous to Camping World accepted me however the support was no where near that of Camping World. I personally believe the diversity offered and expected by Camping World is better than any other company I have ever worked for or with in my 20 years of employment. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? I would tell any woman interested in a Career with Camping World to go for it. You are the one in charge of your destiny and Camping World will be the best support you will find out of any other RV dealer in the entire country.

Regional Director of Business Development

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What first attracted you to this company? When I came to this company, I was looking for an organization that took care of its people and that was willing to invest in me and allow me to grow with them. I wanted a career, not a job. I have that here. Camping World is a large, strong company that anyone can find a home with. They constantly look for ways to improve and stay ahead of the competition. What do you find fulfilling about working here? In my role as a Regional Business Development Manager, I enjoy visiting the many dealerships within my Region. I get to train, mentor, and face new challenges with each visit. I work with the General Managers, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, Sales Staff, and Business Development Managers. My main focus is usually the Business Development Department at each location. There I get to help them prepare for the same opportunities I've been given with this great company. I get to identify areas such as processes that need to be worked on, word tracks to help them get to the next level, and also learn from their experiences. I'm constantly learning something new and getting the opportunity to improve on it. What are some of your biggest motivators at work? I have so many great leaders in this company that are always challenging me to be the best I can be. If there are opportunities that I need to improve on, they coach and mentor me so that I can rise to that occasion. At home, my wife and kids supporting me to be the best I can be are what makes this opportunity the best around. What makes Camping World & Good Sam unique or different from others’ you have worked for? I'm not just an employee. I'm a person with a name. I have a voice and my opinions are welcome. I've always had access to my support team if I'm having an issue I can't solve. They're always willing to help. We're family here and we have each other's backs. What compels you to stay? I've never had a reason to question if I should stay. Camping World will forever be my home as long as they will have me. I have a career here, and I plan to retire from this company many years from now. What destination do you hope to visit one day? One day, I plan to travel all through North America visiting every state with my wife. Yes, I'll most likely do it in an RV… but the challenge will be getting to Hawaii.

UI/UX Designer

What other teams do you work with the most? Teams I work with most of the time are the Digital Development Team, as well as the Content Team. Throughout the project lifespan, we also interface with Business stakeholders. What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World, Good Sam What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Ayyy great question! Prefacing this question, have been in UX for over 7 years of which a majority have been fast-moving UX Teams that blend Enterprise Infrastructure and startup-modeled project execution. THAT said, my favorite thing about my job here is the TRUST. I am empowered to make decisions with a team, that also trusts me. In a world of empty promises and jobs filled with uncertainty, Camping World has shown that they TRUST their folks to perform. What is the most rewarding project you have work on here and why? Another great question! The most rewarding project has been the RV Rentals project which just kicked off. As a Team, we built a Peer-to-Peer Marketplace for travel enthusiasts to rent and sell RVs.

The most rewarding (the WHY): I LOVED meeting with Leadership and working directly with Stakeholders, within Figma. Here is the thing to newer Designers out there; HAVE FUN! Allow your stakeholders to do things in Figma, but also know when tell them to chill out. Allow developers to sketch, learn code. Study data. Enjoy this profession! For this Peer-to-Peer project, I super-enjoyed my profession. Still optimizing the experience so it is a continuous learning collaborative experience. A Team experience.
What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? Most important to me is Habitat for Humanity. Helping those in the time of need is what my faith is built on, and I love helping. Serving. Very excited for my potential first Project Good Sam Event! What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Some advice I would give to someone applying to a job here with my Camping World fam is to come ready to innovate. Camping World is a very robust environment well-positioned to accelerate your career. Every successful environment, team, dynasty, kingdom, or cause begins with Servant-Leadership. And not to be cheesy here, but Marcus is just that. A servant-leader.

I hope you do decide to join us here at Camping World. Ecommerce has become increasingly competitive and it takes a level of ingenuity, and a heart of helping, to truly innovate within this consumer-facing sector. Camping World, will, continue fostering opportunities for people to do their very best work.

Thanks for interviewing me and I hope to continue building upon this great legacy we have here. God bless you all and may The Lord bless this wonderful, beautiful country of ours!

I work with the Inventory team to find available RVs for RV winners and coordinate with the inventory manager to initiate the transport to the winner's nearest dealership. I work with the accounting team to account for all RV giveaways by writing up an end-of-month report each month. I work with the tax department to ensure that we are abiding by state and federal tax laws, and I am currently in the process of wrapping up 2021 by organizing all W9 information for 1099 distribution in January 2022. I work with the legal team to create rulesets and affidavits and to ensure that we are following all the rules and legalities. I work with all dealerships, nationwide, by connecting with the management team to notify them of the winners coming into their dealerships. I forward them the winner's contact information and instruct them on how to create these deals in their system to make them whole once the deal is complete. I work closely with the Social Care Team by assisting them with winners who come in on all of our social channels with questions, concerns, or issues. Recently, I've been working closely with the RV Rental team when winners have issues booking reservations with the credits we've awarded them. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? My favorite thing about my job is when I can help make a winner's dreams come true. When a winner is genuinely so grateful for being awarded a prize, it feels amazing to be a part of the fulfillment process. I love that I get to work with many teams to make all this happen. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I love the outdoors and how it brings people together. Some of my fondest memories are the times where my family and I could travel and explore different places. My family always dreamt of owning an RV and traveling the country. What brand(s) do you work for?Good SamWhat other teams do you work with the most?Overseeing the brand design for Good Sam, I get to collaborate cross-departmentally with almost every team in the enterprise, but most closely with the Digital Media and Marketing Automation teams. What is your favorite thing about your job and why?The people make this job what it is through and through. At every level of the business, every teammate is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about their area of expertise. It's reflected in the work they do, the relationships they've built, and the countless years they've spent and grown within the enterprise. I can't help but feel inspired and invigorated every day because of them. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry?Admittedly, I never considered myself outdoorsy, outside of laying on a beach, until I married someone who feels centered in nature. While I've since discovered my own joy in being outdoors, I love the idea of helping others find their own connection, whether in small instances or in a full-time commitment to the lifestyle. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at?:Work/life balance has always been an important factor to me when thinking through my career, but even more so as I've become a mom for the first time. CWH understands that while I still want to be fulfilled and challenged professionally, I don't want to compromise the role I play in my family – I can be successful as both a team leader in the office and as a mom at home. This balance takes setting and respecting boundaries while also encouraging my team members to do the same for themselves, but I've felt nothing but support from my CWH family along the way. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World?Don't be afraid to ask for what you want or expect out of a job at CWH! What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Being able to assist customers overall, regardless of the need whether it is retail parts and/or service repairs, but both allow you to be a part of the customers experience(s) and create memories with their families! The customer interaction is different each and every time, which is complete satisfaction as a human being! I enjoy being able to learn something new daily, no matter if it is big or small! What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? Honestly, I never thought that a “temporary” job would turn into a career that I absolutely love!! How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? In the almost 10 years of working for Camping World, I have never been treated differently because I am a woman! I thought I would have been at times, but haven’t yet! I have always been treated the same, no different! Other companies have actually told me, I was not qualified for a position because I was a woman! What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? My advice would be to pursue any career that you desire! Even if you may not “know” everything, there are some great mentors working with this company and I wouldn’t be where I am today, without them!! Tell me a fact most people don't know about you. Fun Facts: Most people know that I am a mother of 2, but do not know that I am also a grandmother, well a “Mimi”. I have a grandson that can make you smile, under any situation! The pure joy this child brings to the world, will be life changing, as he gets older! ?? Additionally, my daughter is 19 yrs old and we both absolutely love going to concerts, even if it requires traveling, it’s just what we do together! I could not imagine not having my daughter as my best friend, but also a reminder that you only live once so live your best life! So if I am not at work, I am most likely getting into something new, with my grandson, OR with my daughter, seeking the next adventure for the best concerts, music, & amazing performers! Lastly, how could I NOT mention my “other” child, which is my son! We get to spend time together, more than we want sometimes, but he grew to love the RV industry as well and also works for the company! It is nice to see and watch him have the same passion as I do, which ultimately is to serve our customers!

What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Enjoy the ride. At times it can be a roller coaster of projects and expectations but the end reward is always there for those who don't mind a quickly changing environment. Regional Business Development Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I work very closely with all positions under RV sales (Sales Reps, Sales Managers, GMs and reception) but closest with dealership Business Development Managers. In our RBDC role, we also communicate with our digital team, media services and recruiting regularly What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Our values and community culture are everything! I am thankful for the amount of support and encouragement I’ve received from leadership over the years. When you work for Camping World, you are truly gaining/joining a work family - the CW family. My favorite thing about my position is traveling from dealership to dealership (typically 2-3 days per week) and putting my problem solving skills to work. I dive into current processes, dissect any issues the team may be having (anything from hiring issues to lack of CRM training) and do what I can to make everyone’s job easier. By fixing issues, ironing out processes, and training the team, I am also bettering the customers experience. I also hope that with this I am creating a better work environment for my team where our employees are happier and thriving in their position. I still (and will always) have more to learn. I am very grateful to work for a company who takes pride in developing their talent. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? Serendipity. I never thought Camping World would turn into a career. I was interviewing for the Business Development Manager role, wanting to build my resume for a marketing firm (or something similar) and fell in love with the industry once hired. I was able to take my marketing and computer savviness skills and apply them to this position. Never underestimate the potential opportunities that could present themselves within any company! How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I have seen a culture shift over the years, and it has been very empowering. While the RV industry is still wildly male dominated, I have had the unique opportunity to watch other women take on core leadership positions. Many of these women I would consider my mentors. I have always felt comfortable voicing my option and pitching my ideas. Not once have I ever felt the need to hold back. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? A lot of women would be slow to consider a company like Camping World. However, CWH offers so many opportunities to grow and you will always be supported, especially by women. I would not shy away from finding your support system. All women in CWH are there to help you and welcome you to their tribe. Don’t be afraid to seek advice from others in higher roles, as all of us have an open-door policy. Lastly, always be open to change and always strive to be better than you were yesterday.

Timothy Shanahan

Sr. Inventory Analyst

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? The new inventory analyst team works most closely with the leadership group at the individual dealerships. We are frequently in contact with the general mangers, sales managers, and market managers of the areas we cover. We also work with the used, transport, and banking subsets of our larger inventory team. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I find the most enjoyable aspect to be absorbing and dissecting the numbers. Trying to figure out what will happen, what will work, and adjusting on the fly when events don't transpire as predicted makes for a fun and challenging work environment. The constant communication with stores, manufacturers, and other team members helps grow knowledge, spark ideas, and foster relationships amongst those we depend on to keep the inventory and sales coming. What is the most rewarding project you have worked on here and why? My creation of the used inventory matrix was labor intensive but instrumental in the creation of our RV evaluator tool. With the forced input menu for used inventory entry standardized, we are able to assess our own values on trades and compare them to those provided by third parties. This, in turn, has led to our company being able to confidently buy and carry a much greater amount of used inventory than in previous years. Although it was a small step in this process, my efforts in creating the database were crucial for success early on. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? An enjoyable way that I have found to give back is running races in the name of a charitable foundation. Typically, I have raised money for the American Cancer Society. It is rewarding to accomplish a goal and better oneself while helping a noble cause simultaneously. I look forward to resuming this practice as the pandemic wanes and life shifts back closer to normal. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Never fear asking too many questions. It is a unique industry and many at corporate, the stores, and on the manufacturer side have been around a long time. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gleaned from those that we are interacting with on a daily basis. You can never check sales numbers and metrics too many times. The success of brands and individual floorplans can ebb and flow; some stores may be struggling with a brand that is a success nationally. Different stores excel at selling different subtypes of RVs. It is important to stay on top of these things so that you can speak with a store and address any potential issues.

Sales Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I work very closely with all departments, since I am the General Manager. The Service department and Sales department are the two that I work with the most. What is your favorite thing about your job and why? I love the challenge of helping our sales associates try to find the perfect camper or motor home for a customer. Once we do, then it is a challenge to see if we can finalize the sell. I am very competitive, so I to try outsell our other stores. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? I have always loved sales, but had never worked in the recreation industry. I had been with Camping World for 2 weeks and I told my team that they would have me until I retired. I love this company and every position that I have had with them. How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I have always been treated me with the utmost respect and given everything that I needed to succeed. I feel like I have never been passed over for a promotion just because I was a woman. Many companies that I have worked with, don't promote women to General Managers. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? To just do it. It is very intimidating in the beginning, because it is predominately men. The only reason I feel like it is, because most women are just afraid to give it a shot. What I have discovered is that a lot of people like working with female sales associates, because they feel like they get a better deal and they are more sincere.

What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? I am very involved with supporting shelters for those in need, working directly and indirectly with food banks in the past, as well as providing holiday meals to shelters.

I believe it is of the upmost importance that we find better ways to support the houseless to provide them whatever stability we can to help them feel seen, respected and help them face the challenges that houselessness imposes on a person. Every person deserves the same love and support regardless of their living situation and it's important to me to share that passion with others to make the world a better place for those around us.
