What other teams do you work with the most? I work very closely with product owners and manager teams. That is followed closely by the content team. What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World, Good Sam What is your favorite thing about your job and why? One of my favorite things about the job is how each property presents a unique challenge. In my field, it's not a one-size-fits-all approach so it's a breath of fresh air to manage through various logistics to reach my goal. This forces me to get creative with the way I approach a property. In the same token, this allows me to be an educator in my field to business owners. What is the most rewarding project you have work on here and why? One of the most rewarding projects is establishing my role within the organization. It helps me be more involved in the process within the organization so I can be more effective on other projects. You can look at it like a project within a project. That has been rewarding in and of itself because I can provide insights into the project that otherwise wouldn't be there. What charity/cause/activity is most important to you and why? Veteran causes are near and dear to me. I've volunteered several hours in previous years at VA hospitals, Wounded Warrior projects and veteran job fairs. These events make me more appreciative of the things I have. As a veteran myself I know the difficulties of transition after service and getting the support you need so anyway I can give back to them, I will. Assisting veterans will always play an important role for me wherever I am. What advice would you give to someone applying to a job at Camping World? Don't feel shy about researching or asking about the company's history. In the midst of explosive growth, make sure you ask about why the growth is there and what to expect in the future. This orients your mind into thinking how you can grow with the company. Lastly, put in some work and present a plan on how you would approach the role in practical terms. It doesn't have to be lengthy - just some high-level talking points to see where you head is.
