Position(s) held at CWH

Business Development Manager, Regional Business Development Manager

What brand(s) do you work for? Camping World What other teams do you work with the most? I work very closely with all positions under RV sales (Sales Reps, Sales Managers, GMs and reception) but closest with dealership Business Development Managers. In our RBDC role, we also communicate with our digital team, media services and recruiting regularly What is your favorite thing about your job and why? Our values and community culture are everything! I am thankful for the amount of support and encouragement I’ve received from leadership over the years. When you work for Camping World, you are truly gaining/joining a work family - the CW family. My favorite thing about my position is traveling from dealership to dealership (typically 2-3 days per week) and putting my problem solving skills to work. I dive into current processes, dissect any issues the team may be having (anything from hiring issues to lack of CRM training) and do what I can to make everyone’s job easier. By fixing issues, ironing out processes, and training the team, I am also bettering the customers experience. I also hope that with this I am creating a better work environment for my team where our employees are happier and thriving in their position. I still (and will always) have more to learn. I am very grateful to work for a company who takes pride in developing their talent. What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry? Serendipity. I never thought Camping World would turn into a career. I was interviewing for the Business Development Manager role, wanting to build my resume for a marketing firm (or something similar) and fell in love with the industry once hired. I was able to take my marketing and computer savviness skills and apply them to this position. Never underestimate the potential opportunities that could present themselves within any company! How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at? I have seen a culture shift over the years, and it has been very empowering. While the RV industry is still wildly male dominated, I have had the unique opportunity to watch other women take on core leadership positions. Many of these women I would consider my mentors. I have always felt comfortable voicing my option and pitching my ideas. Not once have I ever felt the need to hold back. What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand? A lot of women would be slow to consider a company like Camping World. However, CWH offers so many opportunities to grow and you will always be supported, especially by women. I would not shy away from finding your support system. All women in CWH are there to help you and welcome you to their tribe. Don’t be afraid to seek advice from others in higher roles, as all of us have an open-door policy. Lastly, always be open to change and always strive to be better than you were yesterday.
