What is your favorite thing about your job and why?
Our company culture. With companies of our size, you typically see limited growth paths and minimal collaboration amongst departments. At Camping World, I feel empowered to be innovative beyond just the scope of my role and to encourage my team to do the same. This allows everyone, regardless of title, to learn the intricacies of other departments, which helps you become a more well-rounded business professional; a rare approach that can have a major positive impact on your career.
What made you interested in working in the outdoor recreation industry?
Anyone interested in marketing knows that B2C marketing for a lifestyle brand is where creativity comes to life. You are challenged to capture the excitement of a cross country road trip, the bond of a family by a campfire, or the friendships made at a campground... in a 15 second TikTok, a single instagram post, or a 12 month campaign. That is something I looked for during my job search, and am grateful to have the opportunity to do it every day!
How has Camping World Holdings helped you succeed as a woman in the workplace? How is this different than other companies you have worked at?
It is empowering to be surrounded by successful and driven women at work every day. Our women in leadership make it a priority to lead by example and are extremely approachable. Many of them have become mentors for me, which has been a catalyst for my career growth and management skills.
What advice would you offer other women who are interested in a career at a Camping World Holdings brand?
Work hard, bring new ideas to the table, and have fun! Our products and services make RVing fun & easy - and that is a sentiment we promote internally as well. Your ideas and perspective are what make our company and products better for our customers!
