Camping World is a strong supporter of our nation and its military and has chosen to display that support by flying American flags at each of our dealership locations nationwide. Many of our employees and customers are veterans or military spouses, and we want to honor them, as well as their dedication to our country and to our local communities. By making this proud statement, our goal is to bring local communities together in celebration of everything that has been accomplished by veterans for our country.
We take pride in flying our nation’s flag. We bring flags down and safely store Old Glory inside during severe weather and consistently perform examinations for rips and tears. In many instances, flag responsibilities are designated to a specific employee to ensure the location honors the flag’s upkeep. You may have noticed that our flags are, well, BIG! Our flags are at least 30-by-60-feet and sometimes as big as 40-by-80-feet. . . almost as big as our patriotism.
Marcus Lemonis Donates World Series tickets to WWII Veteran
With the Company headquartered in the Chicagoland area, there are many Camping World associates who root for the Chicago Cubs, including our CEO, Marcus Lemonis. During the team’s historic run through the World Series in 2016, Lemonis decided to share the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Cubs with a lucky fan. He ultimately chose 97-year-old World War II veteran Jim Schlegel who had waited 71 years to see his team back in the World Series. Go Cubs Go!
